Notice of Intent to Sole Source to CEDIGAZ

The Department of Energy (DOE), Energy Information Administration (EIA), intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Products to CEDIGAZ for subscriptions to its international natural gas resources and online database and its LNG services.

These subscriptions include CEDIGAZ News Report, a weekly bulletin with concise overviews of all news pertaining to the upstream and downstream gas industry worldwide; the U-Gas News Report, which is devoted to Unconventional Gas such as coalbed methane, shale gas, tight gas, and methane hydrate; and CEDIGAZ Insights, which provides information regarding the natural gas markets with priority given to key market players.

The CEDIGAZ statistical database includes data for 119 countries involved in natural gas and is updated twice a year. Finally, CEDIGAZ’s LNG services include extensive databases updated quarterly with trade and medium and long-term perspectives. The period of performance for this award will be a base year plus four one-year options. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to meet this requirement must respond in writing.

Responses must be supported with strong and convincing evidence that clearly articulate the company’s ability to satisfy this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses that demonstrate comparable capability are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
