Notice of Intent for Sole Source Award of PR Hotel Space

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a sole source order to AEG MANAGEMENT PR, LLC. located at 100 Convention Boulevard, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00907-4900, for the acquisition of a hotel venue for an IRS direct hiring event. The purchase will be made using procurement procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The venues in this area are limited and AEG Management PR, LLC (Puerto Rico Convention Center) meets all the requirements (size, availability, and experience). For size, the vendor needs to be able to have the capacity to hold up to 4,000 personnel in at least one of its conference rooms. For availability, the vendor shall have 04/1/2024 - 04/4/2024 available with concierge service/help desk personal ready during the business hours of 7am to 5pm local time.

The vendor shall also have a senior sales manager/event manager on staff during date and times to assist in questions or concerns as they arise. For all the reasons stated above, it was determined that no other vendor would have the capability or experience to fulfill this requirement, leaving AEG MANAGEMENT PR, LLC as the only responsible option. This is not a request for competitive proposals.

Potential sources who believe they can provide the service listed above are invited to submit a capability package in writing to Megan.E.Kelly@irs.gov and no later than 4:00 PM EST on March 16, 2023. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will not cover any costs for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this notice. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 531120. The small business size standard is $34.0 M.
