CentriMag Pre-connected Pack for Cardiopulmonary Bypass

Description THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE / PROPOSAL The Defense Health Agency (DHA), Northeastern Markets Contracting Division (NM-CD), on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Abbott Laboratories, 3200 Lakeside Dr., Santa Clara, California, 95054-2807.

The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition pursuant to FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source for Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The Defense Health Agency intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed award to provide a CentriMag Pre-connected Pack for Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) designed to reduce hemodilution with a low priming volume capable of supporting quick blood flow.

This medical equipment is vital in providing life support to patients. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Phone calls will not be accepted. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All information submitted should support the offeror’s capability to provide the training required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
