AMENDMENT 1

The purpose of this amendment is to respond to vendor’s questions and extend the Request for Proposal (RFP) due date to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Friday 9/13/2024. The questions timeframe has closed for this RFP. Any proposal already received will be considered as submitted unless a new/revised proposal is received by the deadline. If there are changes to be made, please forward your original proposal to include updated information, and documentation.

QUESTIONS:

1. The solicitation mentioned Ivory Coast and Benin as delivery points, but the place of performance is Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Namibia. Was Ivory Coast and Benin mentioned by mistake? In the paragraph after the bulleted area, it states that, “The delivery point is Abidjan, Ivory Coast…” a. Delivery points for Abidjan, Ivory coast for the field office in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and Cotonou for the field office in Cotonou, Benin.

2. You have requested that the vehicle have a manual transmission. However, the vehicle requested only comes with an automatic transmission. Would you be ok with a semi-automatic transmission. a. Yes, if the manual transmission is no longer available on the new models (Prado).

3. There's a backorder for the fabric interior version of the vehicle, would you be open to delivery date of January/February? The other option would be to have synthetic leather seats. a. Synthetic leather is acceptable.

4. If White is not available, would you accept light bronze (4V8 AVANT-GARDE BRONZE), or gray (1L7 DK. GRAY)? a. Yes, willing to accept other colors if white is not available, but white is preferred.

5. RE:

Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, and Tanzania CPC Land Cruisers: Are the vehicles being delivered to Abidjan, Ivory Coast or the four countries mentioned? a. Delivery points for is Abidjan, Ivory Coast for the field office in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and Cotonou for the field office in Cotonou, Benin.

6. RE:

Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, and Tanzania CPC Land Cruisers: The production code you provided is for the new Land Cruiser Prado. Can you please confirm that this is in fact the model that you are seeking and not the standard LC model. a. Yes, new Prado models with turbo four-cylinder engine.

7. On page 13, you indicate “or equal”, have you considered any specific alternatives that you would be comfortable with? a. We did not define any specific alternatives, but would have to evaluate any proposal against the existing specifications.

8. Do all four (4) Land Cruisers need to arrive at the same time? a. They do not have to arrive at the same time, bur preferable all four are received within the 45 days as the solicitation specified.

9. Do all four (4) Land Cruisers need to be the same model number:

GDJ250R-GNTUY SFX: A1? a. During Market Research, USADF were informed that the model number listed above has a “R” within it to identify it as a Right-Hand Drive. This was the model number provided to them for the specifications that they are looking for. If there are other model numbers, USADF is unsure what they are or what vehicles they are for.
