Hyperspectral Imager System (HSIS)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE for Replacement Parts for Hyperspectral Imager System (HSIS) The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on behalf of the Office of Technology Development (OTD), Research Analysis Division, (RAD). The contract will precure calibration targets and lenses for the Hyperspectral Imager System (HSIS) system at the Eastern Currency Facility (ECF).

The replacement parts are proprietary and can only be acquired from Headwall Photonics, Inc. Therefore, the Government intends to award a sole source contract to Headwall Photonics, Inc in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
