NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE AUTHENTIX, INC. Universal Currency Authentication Sensor 3 (UCAS3) and GemVision Currency Sensor (UCAS3) Sensors This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201.

The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP), Office of the Chief Procurement Officer’s (OCPO) intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract on a noncompetitive basis to AUTHENTIX, INC. (UEI: LEPWSXZME445) of 4355 Excel Pkwy Ste 100, Addison, Texas 75001-5631, United States. Policies and procedures from FAR Part 13.5 will be used.

This requirement is for six (6) Universal Currency Authentication Sensor 3 (UCAS3) and six (6) GemVision Currency Sensor (GVCS) sensors, all meeting or exceeding the specified requirements IAW the associated Statement of Work (SOW). The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), only one responsible source and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the executive agency.

The applicable NAICS Code is 333310 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. Please be advised the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of equipment provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Responses MUST be received NO LATER THAN 11:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time (EST), 16 May 2025. Additionally, interested sources must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www/sam/gov. Responses MUST be submitted in writing ONLY via email to Naweed.Nezam@bep.gov and Jeremy.Boggs@bep.gov within the closing date/time of publication of this notice.
