THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of Acquisition on behalf of its Office of Production Engineering intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price commercial contract for preventive and emergency maintenance of FOBA Laser services. The intended contractor is Reactiv Laser Systems LLC, 1004 NW Silverthorn Drive, Lees Summit, MO 64081. The Government intends to award a sole source purchase order utilizing a Justification for Soliciting from a Single Source IAW FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b).

Anticipated Period of Performance: one twelve (12) month base and four twelve (12) month option years. The FOBA Sensor service is to provide preventive and emergency maintenance (PM and EM) for two (2) Laser Engraving Machines (one [1] GP9000, and one [1] G10) located at BEP’s Washington, DC facility The preventive maintenance ensures that the instrument is functioning properly so necessary inspections can be performed.

Therefore, it is imperative that annual preventive maintenance and calibration of the FOBA Lasers are performed to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly so they can provide accurate and consistent results. The FOBA Sensors are requires a very highly expert contractor to maintenance the sensor which only Reactiv Laser Systems LLC has been found to be able to do. They are the only source known to have the knowledge to service and support these sensors.

There are no known authorized 3rd party service providers for this equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will not be posted.

To be considered, responses MUST be received NO LATER THAN 12:00PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME, JUNE 7, 2024. Additionally, interested sources must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www.sam.gov.
