Special Notice: FY 2024 Missile Defense Agency Industry Innovation Summit (IIS)

This announcement is not an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the Government to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. No solicitation is available for this notification. Companies will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that are incurred in responding to this notice.

Overview: This special notice is to announce the Missile Defense Agency’s Industry Innovation Summit on 10-11 July 2024. This year's summit will be hosted at the Von Braun Complex III on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

The summit will provide our industry partners a foundational understanding of the pacing challenges posed by our adversaries; educate industry on the various processes and challenges within the Agency; provide panels for key industry and service leaders to discuss their responses to these challenges; and encourage dialogue about how MDA, together with industry, can accelerate the development of new technologies to address the pacing challenges.

The summit’s multi-mission focus poses the question “What do we need to change to work smarter, so we can support the warfighter with speed, agility, collaboration, and innovation?” To answer this question, the summit is anchored with national keynote speakers who know and understand the evolving, complex landscape of digital trends and how they impact our work, markets, and business over time.

Topics include acquisition and engineering reform, implications of artificial intelligence, the art of the possible (digital transformation, frontier technologies, and acquisition forum), and leadership, industry, and service panels. This summit will encourage future dialogue with industry on innovative options to improve the way the Missile Defense Agency operates, enabling us to Go Fast and Think Big. Opportunities for one-on-one meetings will be available to participants at a later date.

Note: The Industry Innovation Summit will host a number of SECRET/NOFORN sessions.

How to Respond: SN responses should include:

1. Company Name, CAGE Code, DUNS number, Company Address, and Place of Performance Address 2. Point of contact, including: name, title, phone, and email address. 3. Participation from a single company (across all divisions) may be limited depending on registration. If needed, Industry will be allowed up to (10) ten persons in attendance (covering all divisions of the same parent company.)

Please coordinate and provide the names of the top ten participants as well as additional participants should space be available. 4. Interested offerors shall respond to this SN no later than 1300 (CDT) on 14 June 2024. If seating capacity is met sooner, a notice will be sent out closing registration early. All responses to this SN shall be submitted via email to MDA2024IndustrySummit@mda.mil.

Additional Information: The Government may utilize non-Government personnel (support contractors) to process and review responses to this SN. The participating support contractor companies are contractors with signed NDAs. The complete agenda will start being sent out with visit request information NLT 20 May 2024. The meeting will be SECRET/NOFORN. U.S. Vendors only.
