Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The U.S. Consulate General Cape Town, South Africa will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available. General Services. The U.S. Consulate General in Cape Town intends to solicit proposals for contracted Grounds-keeping/Landscaping Services for Official Government Properties. All firms that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.
At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal: Be a suitably qualified contractor with no less than ten (10-years) of relevant experience in providing Grounds-keeping/Landscaping services. Be able to understand written and spoken English. Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing. Have the necessary personnel, equipment, and financial resources available to perform the work. Have all licenses and permits required by local law.
Meet all local insurance requirements. Have no adverse criminal record. Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States. Have good experience and past performance records. *Vendor would be responsible to supply all labor & materials. Details will be made available in the solicitation. Contract Details.
The intention is to award a firm-fixed price agreement to the qualified vendor who meets the minimum requirements identified above and is the lowest priced of all technically acceptable offers. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. Vendor Registration.
All contractors must be registered in the U.S Government’s System for Award Management (SAM) Database at time of proposal submission pursuant to the U.S Federal Acquisition regulation (FAR) provision 52.204-7. Prospective offerors are highly encouraged to register and/or update any lapse in registration at SAM.gov immediately if interested in submitting an offer to this upcoming solicitation. Any offeror not registered at time of proposal submission is subject to immediate disqualification.
