Lima NAMRU South - Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract, and is NOT a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is prescribed by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The US Embassy in Lima intends to award a Single Source contract to America Movil Peru S.A.C.

This contract is for local Mobile Phones service to support a programatic project. The US Embassy in Lima will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition.

The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source.
