Notice of Intent to Sole-Source to BioFire Defense LLC for laboratory testing supplies and kits

The Department of State Office of Global Acquisitions, Acquisitions Management (A/GA/AM), on behalf of the Office of Global Operations, Logistics Operations and Supply Chain Management (A/GO/OPS/SCM) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Blanket Purchase Agreement {BPA) for Biomerieux (BioFire Defense) laboratory testing supplies under a Federal Supply Schedule contract to BioFire Defense LLC, 79 West 4500 South Suite 14, Salt Lake City, Utah 84107. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of the Multiple-Award Schedule Program (41 U.S.C. 152(3) and 40 U.S.C. 501), as implemented in FAR 8.405.6 by the following:

Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 8.405-G(a)(l)(i)(B) - Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413- In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing. A signed and approved Limited Sources Justification is provided with this notice. No Request for Quote (RFQ) will be available for competitive quotes.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider responses to this notice within 10 days of this posting. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a capabilities statement N.L.T. Sunday, 15 December 2024 at 11:00 AM EST.
