Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) - Pre-Employment Processing & Hiring Center of Excellence

The Drug Enforcement Administration is contemplating contracting for the formation and management of a pre-employment processing hiring center. DEA is seeking a contracted solution that will provide pre-employment processing actions for incoming DEA employees across the Special Agent, Chemist, Diversion, Intelligence, and Professional, Administrative, Technical, Clerical Occupation (PATCO) career fields that provides DEA expedited pre-employment processes.

In Fiscal Year 2025, DEA will issue a Request for Information to Industry concerning industries understanding, capabilities, and best practices in support of DEA’s contemplated requirement. DEA averages approximately 900 tentative job offers annually and an average of approximately 530 hires annually. The scope of DEA’s requirement may include, but is not limited to, site identification and management, staffing, travel/lodging, and pre-employment testing and assessment activities.

Pre-employment activities may include, but are not limited to, fingerprinting, written and oral psychological assessments, polygraph examinations, drug testing, and medical examinations. Pre-employment activities vary based on the career field. This Special Notice does not constitute a request for information and therefore formal submissions and Q&As are not requested currently. However, the Government will accept informal replies, capability statements, or statements of interest in response to this notice.
