Notice of Intent to Award to Sole Source - Colt Manufacturing Company, LLC

The Bureau of Prisons intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Colt Manufacturing Company, LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." This requirement is for M16/AR-15/M-4 series Colt Rifle Certification Training Courses for the Bureau of Prisons’ Correctional Programs Division that enables Security Officers to inspect, maintain, and repair Colt rifles at their respective institutions.

The anticipated contract value is approximately $34,200. The Government has determined that Colt Manufacturing Company, LLC is the only known source capable of providing the required services/supplies due to the proprietary training material required to maintain factory warranty compliance. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency if received by the response deadline.
