Trash Compactor

The Federal Bureau of Prisons will be issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to provide a self-contained Hydraulic Trash Compactor with their associated accessories for the Federal Correction Institution, Ashland, KY, State Route 716 41102. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 333310. The Government reserves the right to make single or multiple awards based on best value. The Government will award to the responsible quoter(s) whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, is most advantageous to the Government based on best value. Best value will be determined by evaluating each quotation for one or more of the following:

price, past performance, quality, comparison with other offers, and administrative cost. Please refer to the solicitation for a summary of the items requested and any additional procurement details. A Request for Quote using the following NAICS is contemplated: 333310 Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The specific item required is as follows:

20 CUBIC YARD TAIL SELF CONTAINED COMPACTOR; 3 PHASE 10HP REMOTE POWER PACK, UNIVERSAL 37” UNDERSTRUCTURE. GROUND FED (SIDE FEED) DOGHOUSE WITH DOOR ON ONE SIDE. (1) CONTROL MOUINTED IN FACE OF REMOTE POWER PACK. (1) FULLNESS PACKAGE – LIGHT FLASHES WHEN ¾ FULL, STEADY ON WHEN FULL. (1) HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS ON BOTH SIDES OF COMPACTOR. (1) REDUCE FEED HEIGHT TO 44”. (1) OIL HEATER. (1) MULTI CYCLE TIMMER. (1) SET OF 10’ GUIDES WITH STOPS.

The solicitation will be available on or about August 12, 2024, and will be distributed solely through the SAMs website (www.SAM.gov). The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about August 19, 2024 by 2:00 PM.
