Notice of Intent - Sole Source - Elevator Maintenance

This is not a solicitation; this is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a sole source procurement. The U.S. Embassy in Algiers intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold to VERTICAL SOLUTION in Algiers, Algeria, to perform corrective maintenance of the chancery's elevators under authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) and 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

For this requirement, VERTICAL SOLUTION is considered the only responsible source that can perform this type of project because they are the sole authorized distributor in Algeria that can provide certified technicians and original equipment manufacturer parts to maintain the chancery's elevators, as required by the Department of State. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than May 27 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
