The purpose of this project is to repair and repaint carousel animals located at Glen Echo Park¿s Dentzel Carousel. The carousel varnish and paint are currently peeling due to a July 2023 storm which resulted in water damage to six carousel animals. All damaged components will be cleaned, repaired, and painted using in-kind materials. Restoring the carousel animals to their original state will ensure that the historic structure is preserved.
