IDIQ DRILLING SERVICE FOR MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE
140G0125Q0018
US Geological Survey, Ofc of Acqusition Grants-National. Support Activities for Nonmetallic Minerals (except Fuels) Mining.
Awarded
$2,500.00 obligated so far on USAspending
Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, New England Water Science Center has a requirement for drilling services, using both direct-push and auger methods, to collect aquifer sediment cores and install monitoring wells in coastal southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Direct-push and auger drilling are suitable drilling methods for much of this work because the aquifers or parts of aquifers of greatest interest are unconsolidated sandy deposits, depths of investigation are mostly less than 100 feet below land surface, and minimal use of drilling fluids (potable water) is strongly preferred. The work will be part of several studies by the USGS of the hydrogeology and groundwater resources in unconsolidated sandy glacial aquifers and associated alluvium.
Because the location, scope, and timing of the studies are uncertain, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) will be used to obtain the services. The IDIQ period of performance will be 5-years after date of award. Please NOTE this is subject to Availability of Funds FAR 52.232-18. Quotes are being requested under Request for Quotes (RFQ) 140G0125Q0018, which will be posted at SAM.gov on or about 12/12/2024.
Interested vendors are responsible for monitoring the posting sites for the release of the RFQ and amendments (if any). Other project information is not available for release at this time. No further information regarding the project is currently available; further details will be provided in the RFQ when it is issued. Quotes will be due on/about 01/10/2025 (exact date/time to be provided in the RFQ). The NAICS code is 213115 with a small business size standard of $18.0 mil. This RFQ will be set aside for 100% small business. The anticipated award date of the contract is January 17, 2025.
