Description

As published on SAM.gov.

The U.S. Geological Survey, Radiogenic Isotopes Laboratory in Reston, VA intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Spectromat Massenspektrometer GMBH (Spectromat) of Bremen, Germany for an Ion Source for a TIMS/SPECTROMAT Mass Spectrometer to be delivered to Reston, VA within 244 days from the date the contractor receives the purchase order. Any other Ion source used as retractable unit in the ion source housing from spectromat GmbH could change the dimensions conditions inside the ion source housing (e.g., distance between ion source and ion source housing) and could lead to high voltage flashovers. The ion source housing of the MAT 262 TI-Box system at U.S. Geological Survey is a proprietary product of Spectromat GmbH and the according ion source cannot be supplied by any other manufacturer.
