SHIPYARD WORK ON THE RESEARCH VESSEL (R/V) MANTA IN GALVESTON, TEXAS. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2)B-- SEE BELOW 2] Replace hull bottom paint Remove and recoat the hull bottom as defined below:
A] Sandblast to bare metal the entire hull bottom, including surfaces within the hull tunnel and waterjets, from the top of the boot-stripe to keel. Care will be taken to not reduce any material thickness, and to not damage any fittings, shell penetrations, through-hulls, or internal components attached to through-hulls. The Contractor will use a blast medium approved for aluminum hulls. On completion of blasting, notify the TPOC for inspection.
B] Apply a single coat of Interlux Primocon to manufacturers specification and then Apply one coat of Interprotect 2000E that has been thinned 15 to 20% with Reducing Solvent 2316N. Apply the Primocon and Interprotect the same day as blasting or sanding. C] Apply 3 additional coats of Interprotect 2000E, unthinned. D] Apply 3 coats of Micron CF following proper dry times. Apply black Micron CF in the boot-stripe area, and light blue to the remainder of the bottom.
E] Apply one additional coat of Micron CF to the leading edges of the hulls, hydrofoils, and tracking fins. All primers and paint shall be applied in accordance with the coating manufacturer’s application requirements. During the coating process, temporarily shift individual blocks under the hull to ensure all portions of the hull are recoated. The Contractor shall have an OEM representative or certified technician oversee the application process. Notify the TPOC after completion of painting.

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will be issued.
This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 336611. The small business size standard is 1,300 employees. This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial services: Shipyard work on Research Vessel Manta in Galveston, Texas Description of requirements is as follows:
Please refer to the attached Statement of Work for full technical specifications/requirements. See attached full Combined Synopsis with all terms and conditions which all vendors must be in compliance with to be eligible for award. Vendors must provide their Will or Will Not and Does or Does Not Statement per FAR Provision 52.204-24 which goes with FAR Clause 52.204-25. At a minimum, all quotes should include contact information and CAGE Code.
