Hume Lake Ranger District Street Sweeper

The Hume Lake Ranger District is in need of a self-propelled broom sweeper for the removal of debris from all developed recreation sites where pavement surface exists. Basic requirements – one diesel powered, self-propelled, enclosed cabin/cab with climate control road broom. Unit must be operated by a human operator and not a remote or otherwise. Broom width should be approximately 8 foot wide and have dust abatement features (e.g. spray nozzles).

Unit must be visible with hazard and strobe lights for operator and public safety. Broom must be mounted under the self-propelled unit. Front mounted brooms will not load on our transport trailer. The broom is necessary for immediate health and safety concerns for visiting public safety. The unit’s sole purpose is to remove debris (i.e. needle cast, dirt, etc…) from all Developed Recreations sites where pavement surface exists.

Forest Service level 4 and 5 roads within the unit boundaries of the Hume Lake Ranger District Federal Lands Recreation Enhancements Act (FLREA) jurisdiction (per USDA Secretary).
