Removal of damaged surface layer(s) of the road (mostly double chip seal with some AC patched areas), Preparation of remaining surfaces, placing of AC patches, and augmentation of shoulder backing along the road. Providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for:
1. Remove the existing chip seal and/or asphalt concrete (AC) surface.
2. Perform the repairs of the surface layer chip seal. Asphalt concrete may be either hot or warm mix and will conform to a currently approved mix meeting state (CAL-DOT) or federal (FP-14) specifications for similar applications. (see SPS 703).
3. Establish and maintain the approved traffic control plan for the duration of the site work. We anticipate that work would begin in Summer 2025. The NAICS code for this project is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, with a small business size standard of $45M. The Magnitude of Construction anticipated is between $25,000 and $100,000. Interested contractors should also consider their construction bonding capacities when responding. Contractor must be registered as a small business under the listed socio-economic categories in SAM (System for Award Management) under NAICS code 237310 to be considered/confirmed.
