Description

As published on SAM.gov.

The Gila National Forest requires service to calibrate and repair remote air quality monitors. This service allows the transmittal of air quality related data from the monitors (e-sampler) to the Interagency Real Time Smoke Monitoring website. Region 3 currently has 21 active eSamplers. This data is used throughout the year for monitoring air quality related to both prescribed fires and wildland fires. The data is readily accessible by the NM Air Quality Bureau, the USFS, and the public. This information is used by Incident Management Teams via Air Resource Advisors during the summer fire season to predict smoke outlooks. The justification can be found in attachments.
