Long Reach Excavator Rental, Hiawatha National Forest

Rent to the Hiawatha National Forest one Long Reach Excavator for one month (30 days). The Excavator will be operated by Forest Service Equipment Operators on National Forest projects taking place during the months of June 17th through July 16th, 2024 with options for adding or removing a week of rental. The Rental Company will deliver and return the Long Reach Excavator to the Rental Company. The delivery location is at Hunter’s Point Boat Launch on FR8072.

Directions from the Rapid River/Manistique Ranger District Office is to travel 2.1 miles East on US-2 to County Road 513, then travel South 5.3 miles to FR8072 (Hunter’s Point). The Long Reach Excavator make and model is to be proposed by the Quoter. The size of the Long Reach Excavator shall have a 60-foot reach, 275 hp, and weight 68,000 pounds. The Long Reach Excavator shall have a hydraulic thumb. The excavator will be equipped with a 54” dredging bucket (0.75 cubic yards), or equivalent. The contract does not include any labor or materials, just equipment rental and transport.
