Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The solicitation number is 1240BK24Q0101 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), Part 13.5. The NAICS code is 326199. The small business size standard is 750 employees. This acquisition is a Total small business set-aside. This solicitation is for a firm fixed price contract. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2024-5.

Specifications: Self-staking conical tree shelter. Solid polymer tree shelter (no mesh) with 3 built in metal stakes which allow up to 8” of soil penetration and are rigid enough to allow the shelter to be pushed into the ground without the use of driving tools. The tree shelter shall be conical in shape, approximately 18 inches in height, with the base being approximately 7 inches in diameter and tapering to approximately 4 inches at the open top. Shelters must withstand high level of ultraviolet light by being more reflective of high solar loads, keeping temperatures inside the shelters at a desirable level to promote growth and maintain seedling survival.
