THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES/PROPOSALS, THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY This is a Sources Sought Notice in preparation for an upcoming procurement, the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area is conducting market research to determine potential sources for two (2) Olympus DP75 Cameras (Brand Name or Equal), CellSens software one-time update, CCD camera adapter and camera mount, and c-mount camera adapter for BX/IX2.

The cameras, software, and accessories require compatibility to existing microscopes Olympus BX51 and Leica DM IRB. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The size standard for this NAICS codes is 1000 employees. This Sources Sought is not to be considered as a request for quote/proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.

No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the contractor submission to this Sources Sought or the Government's use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any contractor's input resulting from this RFI. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. Data submitted in response to this RFI will not be returned. This notice is strictly for market research and information purposes only.

Small businesses are encouraged to respond. Standard brochures will not be considered a sufficient response to this notice. Submitted Capability Statements shall include the following:

1. General Information: Provide the company name and address, Unique Entity Identifier, i.e., DUNS number, type of business under NAICS code 334516 (e.g. small business, 8(a), veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and/or women owned small business) as validated via the System for Award Management (SAM), and company point of contact including name, phone number, and e-mail address.

2. Capabilities: demonstrate how your firm has the products and capabilities to meet all requirements in the statement of need.

3. Documentation Comments: In order to facilitate the exchange of information with industry, provide any comments, questions, or suggestions that pertain to the statement of need included with this notice. Identify any areas that appear ambiguous or otherwise unclear.

Capability Statements and Documentation Comments must be submitted in writing; telephonic inquiries will not receive a response. This is not a request for technical or price quotations.

The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or reimburse for costs incurred by interested parties providing the information requested herein.
