Supplement 211 Ground Beef Items- May 2025

The Agricultural Marketing Service has posted an updated Supplement 211 Ground Beef Items May 2025. Primary updates include:

Domestic Origin requirements from last year’s provision changes, use of frozen boneless beef to produce (non-irradiated) ground beef or coarse ground beef into the final product changed from 60 to 90 days from date of pack, FDA maximum sodium requirement for Lean Beef Patties 5% fat shall be 200 mg per 100 gram basis, and labels for the immediate containers shall include at least one color, other than black and white, exclusive of the package color for one pound GB primary package.
