The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to ALCON VISION LLC for Comprehensive Annual Service on the Centurion Cataract Unit Phaco Machine ECN:

131999 Serial: 2201813601X. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.

The Period of Performance (PoP): 01 May 2024 – 30 APR 2025 Base 01 May 2025 – 30 APR 2026 Option Year 1 01 May 2026 – 30 APR 2027 Option Year 2 01 May 2027 – 30 APR 2028 Option Year 3 01 May 2028 – 30 APR 2029 Option Year 4 ALCON VISION LLC is the only source available to provide the services. The total estimated value is $24,411.00.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
