ISO 2024-2025 Accredited Proficiency Tests

SOLE SOURCE ISO 17043 accredited proficiency tests. The VETQAS-provided proficiency tests which are required. Specific characteristics of the VETQAS-provided proficiency tests that limit the availability to a sole source are uniqueness of the proficiency testing schemes offered, the test method for which they are relevant, and the range of strains utilized by the proficiency test provider. Additionally, the proficiency test provider must be ISO17043 accredited for the tests they produce.

Only this suggested source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because no other ISO 17043 accredited producer supplies the appropriate proficiency testing schemes for the relevant test methods performed by the NVSL. The NVSL also has a documented proficiency test history with the VETQAS program, which serves as a consistent measure of our demonstrated proficiency over time with a single provider, allowing for tracking of test trends and assessment of continuity of operations.

It is vitally important due to possible trade implications and in foreign assessments of our quality assurance practices that we demonstrate proficiency utilizing a well-characterized and internationally accepted proficiency test provider.
