SOLE SOURCE POSTING Purchase of an Omega - RT-QuIC / PRION Version - Fluorescence Base The National Wildlife Research Center is developing a new laboratory exclusively dedicated to research of the prion-based Chronic Wasting Disease. One aspect of this work specifically involves a method called Real-Time Quaking-Induced Conversion, or RT-QuIC, which was developed in by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The reference method of this assay specifically requires The Omega - RT-QuIC / PRION Version - Fluorescence Base instrument. To follow the specific method outlined by NIH, and subsequently produced data that is comparable among laboratories, the exact same instrumentation must be used. Additionally, there is no other manufacturer of this reader, or any equivalent.
