THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE / PROPOSAL The Defense Health Agency (DHA), Healthcare Contracting Division- Northeast (HCD-NE), on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Radiometer America Inc. (CAGE: 53727) 250 S Kraemer Blvd. Stop B1.SW11 Brea, California 92821-6232 United States The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition pursuant to RFO 6.103-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The contract is intended for preventative maintenance and repair services is required for ABL90 blood gas machines (2) currently installed and in use in the Pulmonary Medicine Clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The Clinic utilizes these machines and supplies to perform atrial/venous blood gas screenings for patients that are important when capturing vitals.
Ensuring that preventative maintenance and repair services are provided are crucial to ensure that clinic operations can run efficiently in support of patient care while also maintaining warranties, product liability claims, and utilizing OEM reagents, accessories and quality control materials. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Phone calls will not be accepted.
A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.

All information submitted should support the offeror’s capability to provide the training required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
