Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Family Retreat

The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Randolph, intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Kalahari Resort (Unique entity ID C4ZLG9MFSFL5), 3001 Kalahari Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665, for the purchase of two retreats, the first one from 18-19 July 2025, and the second 19-20 September 2025 to host the Special Warfare Training Wing Retreat event.

The retreat is intended to assist service personnel to develop personal and spiritual resources and to grow toward increased functional ability, mental toughness, spiritual maturity, and acceptance of responsibility. Personnel are helped to resolve personal and professional concerns to be of greater useful service in their military occupations and relationships. The facility must be no more than 91 miles or 2 hours away from JBSA, Texas.

The resort must include indoor and outdoor activities, such as arcade games, water park, etc. 2. The proposed contract action is for this service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Kalahari Resort, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested people may identify their interest and capability and respond to the requirement, or they may submit quotes. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers.

However, all quotes received by 6 June 2025, 12:00 PM CST will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
