Synopsis NSN: 8120-01-602-0607: Cylinder, Compressed Gas, Air Breathing

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice as required by the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 416) and fulfills the synopsis and advertising requirements prescribed in FAR Part 5 – Publicizing Contract Actions. The solicitation will consist of one NSN:

Line Item 0001:

NSN: 8120-01-602-0607, Cylinder, Compressed Gas, Air Breathing DLA does not currently have an approved technical data package available for this National Stock Number to evaluate alternate offers. This NSN has one approved source: Scott Technologies (CAGE 15927) – Part Number 804721-31. The solicitation will be unrestricted, utilizing other than full and open competition for an indefinite quantity type contract and does not authorize delivery of any material.

The government plans to award a long-term Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract and the performance period will potentially be five (5) years: a Base Period of one (1) year and four (4) one (1) year options. Pricing is to be submitted for the one (1) year base period and four (4) one (1) year options. The annual estimated quantities and required delivery schedule will be included in the solicitation. Delivery will be FOB Destination and Inspection/Acceptance will be at Destination..

The Government required delivery schedule will be 300 days after date of order. The Buy American Act clauses will apply. This Synopsis (Pre-Solicitation Notice) should NOT be considered a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bid. The Government is in no way obligated to purchase any material as result of this notice. In order to receive an award, regardless of dollar value, you must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The SAM site may be accessed at https://www.sam.gov.

The evaluation factor will be Price Only. The solicitation issue date will be on or around May 23, 2025. This date is subject to change.
