The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to negotiate a contract on a single source basis to ARC Technologies for a stand-alone test station with the capability to test and repair two (2) of the eight (8) ARSR4 LRUs currently supported on the old and obsolete system that is no longer supported by the OEM vendor (Fluke) or by Work Center 441 (WC441).
The test equipment developed will need to be delivered and installed at the FAALC TSF Building and FAA personnel will need to be trained in the operation of the new equipment. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System Paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
Saab, Inc. owns all proprietary data rights proprietary information necessary to conduct manufacture, repair, and test of these assets. . The proposed principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334290- Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 750. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
