GD-USA Maintenance and Service Agreement

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source for a firm fixed price purchase order for GD-USA Maintenance and Service Agreement. This acquisition is for commercial repair and maintenance services of GD USA Smoking Machine laboratory instruments, and all services must be provided by those authorized to maintain and repair GD USA instruments.

GD USA Smoking Machine laboratory instruments are currently using replacement parts that are either manufactured by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or have been approved for use by the OEM. The contractor must be able to repair and maintain all instruments on the equipment list. This includes being able to repair equipment with genuine OEM parts and/or GD USA certified parts.

Installation and maintenance of GD USA Instruments approved software and firmware upgrades, for optimal equipment performance, and the use of GD USA instruments qualified service. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
