## Description

This requirement resulted in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award using Sole Source Justification and Approval under FAR 13.501. If BAE systems’ DAGRS are not procured and a different P/N is qualified, the government risks significant operational setbacks. Qualifying an alternative system into the M1A2 SEPv3 tank platform would lead to delays in deployment mission capable tanks, additional costs in testing and validation, and potential compatibility issues. These delays and costs would subsequently compromise CECOM-SAMD’s mission readiness and effectiveness in critical situations, potentially costing approximately $3,000,000,00 and extending project timelines by 12-months.
