The NAICS code for the work described below is 237990. The project is planned to be issued in spring 2025 with construction to begin in Summer 2025. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project area is the part of the Raymark Superfund Site on a 2 acre (approximate) privately owned parcel off of Lockwood Avenue in Stratford, CT. Work for this project will likely include, but not be limited to, the following: Installation of approximately 515 LF of new 20-foot-deep steel sheet pile bulkhead with a timber cap. Regrading and installation of rip rap on the water side of the bulkhead. Installation of filter stone material, and geotextile on the upland portion of the bulkhead for drainage. Mobilization of equipment for construction from the land side of the bulkhead. Loam and seed disturbed areas. There is no excavation of soils expected for this work. The work zone is free of surface contamination, however contaminated soils are to be assumed 4’ below ground surface; plans and protections should be in place to not expose or bring those materials to the surface. This is not an invitation for bids at this time.
