DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a Hoist Replacement at Nolin River Lake in Edmonson County, Kentucky. This project is a Design/Bid/Build. The project control tower needs a higher capacity hoist {12 ton) to allow for lifting of service gates and bulkhead. The new hoist and necessary updated capacity will require structural modifications to the tower. This project will require the removal of the old hoist and improvements to structural components inside the control tower that would support a new hoist with increased lifting capability. The new hoist will provide the clearance, hook height, cable length, and other requirements for removal and replacement of the service gates and bulkhead. Contract duration is 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This IFB will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract.
