## Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting an Industry Day/Pre-Proposal Conference on Wednesday, 9 October 2024. The conference will be held on the project site to provide information for an upcoming contracting opportunity, as well an opportunity for a Site Visit. The Government is planning on issuing a construction solicitation for the JBMDL Vertical Skills Training Facility. The Project Description is provided under the Project Description section of this announcement.

This is not a Request for Proposal, an Invitation to Bid, or a Request for Quotation. Therefore, this event is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract nor will the Government pay for information provided to the Government in a response nor pay for administrative costs incurred attending the Industry Day event. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with travel or providing information in response to this announcement.

**EVENT INFORMATION:**

**Pre-Proposal Conference Time:** 1:00 – 3:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time) - Informational Meeting The Pre-Proposal Conference informational presentation will be conducted on Wednesday, 9 October 2024 at the following location: Building B-5512, 5512 Texas Ave, Ft Dix, NJ 08640 After the presentation, an optional site visit of the project area will be conducted. Installation Access At least 4 business days prior to the site visit the attendees must provide the following information to Matthew Turner with the US Army Corps of Engineers to gain access onto the installation:

The Primary POC for base access is Mr. Matthew Turner who can be reached at 215-313-7772 The Secondary POC is Mr. Mike Higgins who can be reached at 502-974-2318 (NOTE: The two POCs provided are only to be contacted with reference to issues regarding visitor installation access questions. They shall NOT be contacted with questions to obtain information concerning the project and the solicitation, which will be addressed at the Pre-Proposal Conference.)

**PROJECT INFORMATION:** Vertical Skills Instructional Facility This project is a design/bid/build project to construct new Vertical Skills Instructional Facility and at 9500 SF. The building will be of permanent construction with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical, security, and electrical systems. Supporting facilities include site development, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, and information systems.

Sustainability, energy, and cybersecurity measures will be provided as will furnishings, equipment, and accessibility for the disabled. Force protection physical security measures will be incorporated into the design including maximum standoff distances from roads, parking areas and vehicle unloading areas. Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 40 years including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance.
