The contractor will mark trees to be cut for timber sale within the units with orange paint. The contractor will provide a valuation of the trees marked for cutting. The contractor will mark trees to be thinned with blue paint. Desired basal area will be achieved with a combination of cut tree marking and thinning tree marking to achieve the greatest benefit to timber stand health and wildlife value.
