This requirement is for the following: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District has the need for title services, collect and update title evidence, issue title insurance policies, for the acquisition of real property consisting of 19 parcels of land located in Will County Illinois impacted by the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal Dispersal Barriers Project as further outlined in the table below. This is to ensure that the United States of America is vested with at least the minimum required interests in the lands necessary to support dispersal barrier construction, operations and maintenance as approved in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal Dispersal Barriers Project Real Estate Plan Supplement 2 and additional acquisitions to be approved in subsequent supplemental real estate plans for this project. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Wheatland Title Company under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government’s needs. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, apply. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code will be 541191, the size standard will be $19,500,000.00 and the Product Service Code (PSC) will be R411.
