This is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price Supply Contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 336611: Ship Building and Repairing, small business size standard: 1300 employees. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the interest in and capability to accomplish the work. Please respond only if you intend to submit a quote on this project when it is solicited in the future. This is not a solicitation. This announcement is part of our market research, and your responses are sought to identify sources that have the knowledge, skills, and capability to perform the work through a potential firm fixed supply contract. Interested contractors are hereby invited to submit a response to the synopsis to demonstrate their technical, managerial, and business capability provide the requested scope. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR A FORMAL QUOTE. This notice is provided as information to the marketplace and is an invitation for an expression of interest and demonstration of small business capability to perform the anticipated work. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this market survey request. Summary of Scope of Work: The Contractor will furnish all equipment, materials, labor, and completed and approved design to fabricate a push boat. There will also be an option included in the scope of work and price schedule for the contractor to provide the delivery, outfit, and launching of the push boat. All equipment shall be fully functional and operational. Training, manuals, and drawings shall be provided. The push boat will be approximately twenty (20) feet wide X (25’10”) twenty-five feet, ten inches long. The push boat is permitted to be of a completed design that meets the Corps’ criteria. The twin engines shall produce at least 800 hp (more than 400 hp each). The push boat shall move the barges of average loading over average conditions no less than 5 knots. The propulsion system may be traditional drive diesel engines or a z-drive, azimuthing type. Submissions: Capabilities package/response submittal must be received no later than Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM Central Time. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Scope of Work for this requirement will be available upon solicitation issuance. Project Description: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price Supply contract to procure a fabricated push boat for debris removal for Lake Cumberland, KY. The push boat is permitted to be of a completed design that meets the Corps’ criteria. The push boat shall be able to be delivered overland by truck to Burnside, KY, or Halcomb’s Landing in Jamestown KY, depending on the time of year/lake conditions these and any other possible locations will be specified at a later date by the government. The Contractor will furnish all equipment, materials, labor, and completed and approved design to fabricate a push boat. Delivery of push boat is an optional item. If delivery option is not awarded, the contractor will still be responsible for push boat assembly, launch, training, and cleanup. All equipment shall be fully functional and operational. Training, manuals, and drawings shall be provided. Type of Set-Aside: This procurement is a 100% small business set aside. ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The work shall be completed, and push boat delivered within three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days after contract award.
