The Government is currently working on a modification to the current task order. However, the stations are outside those listed in the SATOC. As a result, the modification is deemed out of scope. The additional dredging is needed to facilitate commercial navigation on the Maumee River and prevent potential groundings (Government will confirm this with an updated survey prior to completing the modification). The Government intends to modify the contractor's exisiting task order to include this additional dredging on a sole source basis citing Federal Acquisition Regulations 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B).
