## Description

Sole source firm fixed price contract to Sargent Aerospace & Defense, LLC. Depot Maintenance Work Requirement 1-1615-315 states that replacement of the Teflon liners is mandatory at overhaul of the swashplate assembly. The non-rotating control swashplate requires the two Teflon liners be replaced at overhaul. Liners must be replaced by an OEM of self lubricating liner systems.

The liner system qualified for use in this assembly is KAHR-LON X-1200S manufactured by OEM cage code 97613 (Sargent Aerospace & Defense, LLC). CCAD does not have the ability or technical data to execute as Sargent Aerospace & Defense is the OEM. If not approved, the overhaul of AH64 swashplates cannot commence as this is a mandatory replacement item. This may lead to CCAD not acquiring the current and future available workload as an aviation maintenance depot, and therefore, this would be detrimental to CCAD’s mission.
