Notice of Intent to Sole Source 8 (a) – Synergy Staffing, Inc. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE 8 (a) CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

**Q503 Healthcare Services Medical - Dentistry NAICS:** 621210 Office of Dentists with a Section 8(a) set aside standard of $9.05M applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 19.800(d), for acquisitions above the simplified acquisition threshold, the contracting officer shall consider 8(a) set-asides or sole source awards before considering small business set-asides.

**Description:** The Kentucky Army National Guard intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-5(b)(4) and FAR 19.8 to Synergy Staffing, Inc. for Dental services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A Justification and Approval (J&A) is not required for the for sole source contract under 8(a) authority in accordance with DFARS 206.303-1(a) and 219.808-1(a) states that J&As are not required for 8(a) sole source awards less than $100M.

This requirement is valued at less than $100M and will be awarded on a sole source basis, to an 8(a) participant.
