## Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to BSA Environmental Services, Inc., 23400 Mercantile Road, Beachwood, Ohio 44122-5960 for the execution of the biological analyses services. The Environmental Processes Chemistry Branch (EPC) is a provider of sophisticated solutions in the fields of analytical chemistry, material science and computational chemistry.

EPC has a requirement seeking geochemical and biological analyses services of a specific expertise level and thorough knowledge of Louisville (LRL) district territory environments. The action shall include tasks to advance Civil Works research on the basis of sample analysis requests that are associated with the execution to meet the needs of our district customer needs as no in-house capability is available.

The minimum needs for this service contract are contractor capabilities of full-service laboratory able to furnish all labor, materials and supplies to accomplish geochemical and biological analyses.

The contractor shall provide services for Microcystin ELISA method, Chlorophyll A,B,C, Phytoplankton Identification and Enumeration, and Zooplankton Identification and Enumeration plus BioMass from 75-625 samples at various turnaround times reporting to specialized district LRL HAB DASLAR Cyanotoxin, Phytoplankton and Zooplankton templates. The contractor must be able to build upon existing data from prior research support efforts.

The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541690 – Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar supply.

All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
