All cut edges (regardless of method) shall have a surface roughness acceptable for welding. h) Final product shall be legibly marked with the applicable designation, grade, heat number, size and thickness, name brand, or trademark of the manufacturer for identification and shipment. Bundle and band the steel material as required for shipping, with cribbing at minimum six inches above the base of the shipping platform to allow offloading with a forklift and/or crane. Covering of the material during shipment is not required. 1.2 (CLIN 0003) ASTM A-36 Flat Bar size .75” x 8” x 24’ Quantity 4 a) Will also accept quantity 5 - twenty-foot (20’) lengths. If quoting five (5) twenty-foot (20’) lengths rather than four (4) twenty-four-foot (24’) lengths the quote shall clearly identify the alternate proposal. Quotes will be evaluated based on lowest price with no preference given for the additional net material provide if quoting five (5) twenty-foot (20’) lengths. 2. Submittals For the ASTM A709 HPS 100W steel plate, the Contractor shall submit a mill certification electronically in pdf format via email to both the Government Contracting Officer’s representative and the Government technical point of contact.
