## Description

Pool 10, Stage 1, Island Building Project The project involves construction of various size and shaped islands within the Mississippi River. The base of the islands will be constructed with granular filll from McMillan Island and if needed from main-channel dredging. The islands will be topped with fine fill obtained from access and habitat dredging. The islands will be planted with native grass and willows. The island shorelines will be stabilized with various rock structures such as groins and vanes. There will also be several stand-alone rock features.
