## Description

This announcement is for information purposes only. This is not a request for proposals or bids. The subject is a notice of consolidation. A separate Solicitation will be issued for this project. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), MVK, plans to award five (5) Indefinite Delivery Type (IDT) SATOC’s for General Construction under the US Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) program pursuant to FAR 19-805-1.

Each SATOC will be awarded on a sole-source basis with an individual capacity of $4.5M, and a $500 minimum guarantee. The contracts will be utilized to award task orders for smaller (generally less than $500K) general construction requirements at two (2) or more discrete sites, under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineer Construction within the boundaries of the USACE Vicksburg District and ERDC.

Pursuant to FAR 7.107-2 the Vicksburg District has conducted analysis and market research that demonstrates consolidation of requirements in this procurement is both necessary and justified.

Each project is assigned a Project Delivery Team (PDT) comprised of various organizational elements within the district, including technical (Engineering and Construction Divisions), contracting, legal, project management (including the Deputy for Small Business), as well as the end user and facilities’ engineering organizations.

From internal elements, the District fields an in-house staff that provides project management, technical, contracting, legal, and resource management services to support facility life-cycle programs. The district’s contracting responsibilities for the facilities support include acquisition planning; procurement actions leading up to award of contracts with associated preparation of documentation and approvals; administration of the resulting contracts, including award and administration of individual task orders.

The purpose of this acquisition is to provide multiple rapid response tools for general construction, including new construction, upgrades, maintenance, or construction repairs to government facilities in a cost-effective manner.
