## Description

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. US Army Corps of Engineers - Seattle District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to ABB Inc. (UEI NJHPEAR8XQK6) on a Single Source (FAR Part 13.106(b) basis. ABB Inc. has stated that the required parts are not handled by local distributors or reps. See attached Brand Name Justification.

**Description of Parts:** Contractor shall supply two (2) ABB exciter PEC800 Modbus TCP, 30M, 10k FPGA Typ. PP D113B, ABB part number 3BHE023784R2530 and the Contractor shall supply one (1) ABB exciter CCI Converter Control PC D231 B01, ABB part number 3BHE025541R0101. The government will not post a solicitation. The government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 335312 Motor and Generator Manufacturing.

The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 1,250 Employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition of this requirement in the future would be advantageous to the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.

All interested concerns shall submit responses and questions to jeannette.k.patton@usace.army.mil. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
