Construction Project: The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. FY24 Swinomish Channel Maintenance Dredging Project Details: USACE proposes to remove up to 230,000 cubic yards (cy) of accumulated sediment from the Swinomish Channel federal project located in La Conner, Washington. Dredging would occur within the in-water construction work window of 16 July 2024 through 15 February 2025. The dredging will be accomplished using a clamshell dredge and equipment designed to minimize the potential for impacts to the surrounding environment. Maintenance dredging will be performed in the south entrance (Sta. 00+00 to Sta. 60+00), mid-channel (Sta. 90+00 to 185+00 and Sta. 240+00 to 395+00), and the north entrance (Sta. 449+00 to Sta. 667+00). Dredged material will be disposed at the Dredge Materials Management Program (DMMP) Rosario Strait Open Water Disposal Site. Dredging in all sections will be to -12 ft MLLW plus 2 ft allowable paid over depth. Dredging must be completed by 15 Feb 2025. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and the associated small business size standard is $30,000,000 in average annual receipts.
